Our
order system uses full SSL encryption from the point where
the credit card screen is desplayed through the confirmatin
screen. You don't see the encryption icon in the status bar
because the transaction pages are displayed inside a frame
on a non-encrypted page.
The
encrypted transaction pages displayed inside the frame are
sent to the browser with full 128 bit (or whatever strength
your browser supports) encryption. To verify this, just view
the page properties of any of the transaction system screens
starting with the credit card entry screen. Right mouse click
on the page you want to check and select "properties" from
the menu. (IE4)
Transfermagic.com
is protected behind an advanced firewall which prevents unauthorized
persons from accessing your information.
Transfermagic.com
does not and will not ever sell your name to other retailers.
When
you compare the Internet to other retail channels in terms
of credit card security. It would be easier for a thief to
steal your credit card information from a carbon copy of a
receipt or by tapping your telephone line than it would be
for a thief to intercept an on-line transaction on Transfermagic.com
The
chances are very unlikely that you would ever have your credit
card information stolen on the Internet. However, if it ever
is, you are protected by the same federal law which protects
all of your credit card purchases, which limits your liability
to the maximum of $50 in charges.
